Adoption Process
Our adoption process is very hands-on and personal. We encourage families to start by filling out our application. There is NO OBLIGATION but it is very informative about our program and adoption process. After we receive your application, we will follow up with a phone interview. At that time we will ask more questions to get to know your situation a little better and find out what you are looking for in a puppy. We will answer any questions you might have and evaluate if we are a “good fit” to help you find the right puppy for your family!
Next Step
Once your application is approved, you will need to put a $500 non-refundable deposit to hold your puppy until go home day and will be applied to the total purchase price of your puppy. The remaining balance will be due when you take home your puppy. You will choose your puppy between 5-7 weeks once we have done our temperament testing in order to get you the most information possible on
your next family addition. Puppy picks will be done in the order of deposits received and your pup will go home with you once they have reached 8 weeks of age.
Puppy Socialization
All of our puppies are raised using Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Puppy Culture Protocol to give them the best start in life. We also base much of our developmental exposure activities off of a program by Jeanette Forrey, Called The Ultimate Badass Breeder's Guide. Her program gives breeders the tools to raise pups on an advanced puppy curriculum that promotes HAPPY, STABLE AND EMPOWERED puppies! From the moment our puppies are born, they are handled daily by the breeder (Danielle), other important people in mama dogs life, along with friends and family who come to visit and help socialize. They are exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, smells and tastes on a regular basis. By teaching these puppies that all these experiences are a normal part of life from the very beginning, it helps them better adapt to stress and changes and new situations over the course of their life!
Puppy Vaccinations
We believe in appropriate, science-backed vaccination schedules.
Each litter will have nomographs done to determine the most effective vaccination schedules for the puppies. A canine nomograph is an estimate of the amount of antibodies passed to a litter of pups from the mother via her milk. Currently, these tests are performed by the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. Basically, you draw blood from the mother dog, and run a test to determine the levels of maternal antibodies present in her. With that data and some calculations, you can create a nomograph to determine when the optimal times to vaccinate the puppies would be. Optimal defined not too early so that the vaccine given is ineffective, but not too late so that the puppy is unprotected.

Our vaccination recommendation is based on the information we receive on that specific nomograph. We respect each families opinion on vaccinating their future puppy and want to make sure our pups stay as healthy as possible. to give the first two doses of vaccination based on the timing outlined in the nomograph. All puppies will be sent home with a copy of their mother’s titre results and may have received a vaccine dose before going home depending on antibodies and families decision.

We recommend a titre (blood draw + test) two weeks after the second vaccination to ensure that the vaccination was effective, and then a third and final vaccination at one year of age, which will ensure that the puppy is protected for the rest of its life.

Vets typically recommend vaccinations at 8, 12, and 16 weeks because this is a general schedule of when maternal antibodies wear off, since most breeders do not run a titre test on their breeding females to create a canine nomograph. An individual dog’s immunity level is not a factor of how many shots it has received, it is a characteristic of the dog herself. Two dogs who have had the exact same vaccinations at the exact same time could have different amounts of antibodies to pass onto their puppies.
